Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST) is based on well-developed psychophysical methods that define not only the stimulus, but also the response. It is the best approach to detect, characterize, and quantitate sensory abnormalities, and is therefore useful in both epidemiologic and controlled clinical trials.
CASE hardware and software provide the most sophisticated level of QST testing available. All aspects of QST (patient preparation, testing site, environment, stimulus type and magnitude) are predetermined, standardized, and controlled. Results are compared to norms, and are then expressed as a percentile and normal deviate.
CASE – the Gold Standard for laboratory QST.
