Quality Systems. Trusted Results.

No needles. No oral medications.

Iontophoresis is a non-invasive method of delivering medications directly into a localized treatment area. It is an easy to apply, simplified, and time efficient therapeutic regimen for many common issues presented to the physical therapist.

Compounds commonly used for iontophoretic delivery include corticosteroids (Dexamethasone sodium phosphate and Methylprednisolone sodium sulfate), Lidocaine, Epinephrine, and Hyaluronic Acid. Treatment times range from 10-30 minutes (typically 4 mA for 10 minutes for physical therapy applications). Applications can be repeated every 48 hours.

Avoid the risks and inconveniences of injection therapy, and the systemic effects of oral applications.

The Iontophor-II Iontophoresis Device delivers a reliable dose of constant current in a programmable hand-held unit. Multiple treatment options are easily and consistently applied, with an eye towards time-efficiency, cost effectiveness, and patient compliance.
